Everyone loves free stuff, right? But, everyone doesn’t have a blog and may have trouble understanding how “blog giveaways†work.
If you have ever seen one of my giveaways, but didn’t understand how you could enter, just read this tutorial I made for my Mom. Trust me, if you can surf the web, you can do this.
Update! If you are wanting to learn how to enter giveaways on MY blog or any other WordPress blog, see this tutorial.
Here is how you can go about entering blog giveaways without actually having a blog.
If you already have a Google or Gmail account, skip to #4.
1. Go to www.Google.com and click “Sign In.”
2. Create a Google Account by clicking “Create an account now” on the right side of the screen.
3. Fill out all required information and follow the instructions.
4. Once you are done creating and activating your Google account, find a blog with a giveaway that you are interested in winning.
5. When you see a GIVEAWAY, click on the comments to enter….Keep in mind that some blogs have their comments in different places so keep an eye out for this. They generally look like this at the bottom of the post:
6. IMPORTANT!! Follow the giveaway instructions! The blog author will clearly spell out the steps of the giveaway entries. Most giveaways will allow more than one entry, so just make sure you complete the mandatory entry and then you can go nuts on the “extra entries.”
• For most blog giveaways, you only need to leave a comment letting the author know you completed the aforementioned entry requirements and you are entered.
• If you win, most authors will send you an email letting you know. You usually have 24-48 hours to respond to this email so make sure you check your e-mail often so you don’t miss out!
• There are TONS of giveaways out there. Seriously. TONS. I entered over 30 just this week.
• Actually read some of the blogs you find. You may find that you really enjoy some and want to keep coming back. If you do, just click the Followers button and you can check them in your Google reader or you can subscribe by email to most.
• Make sure to leave your email address in the comment or allow your Blogger account to Show your email address (see below). If you don’t, nobody can tell you if you’ve won. (P.S. If you have a Google account, you have a Blogger account, just sign in through Blogger.com)
That’s it! Now go enter some giveaways and have fun!
