I’m going to be honest. I have the memory of a goldfish…a dead one. So, when the challenge from ProBlogger for Day 7 and 8 of the 31DBBB (31 Days to Build a Better Blog) said to link up to some other blogs, it was hard. Really hard. Mostly because I can’t remember what I ate for breakfast five minutes ago, let alone all of the amazing posts that I read this weekend. Oh sure, I can remember the topic and maybe even the name of the author…but the blog name or web address? HA! Not happening. So, I’m going to do my best.
Maybe I should just link up my favorite blogs in general and then you can find your own favorite post within that blog…flying by the seat of my pants here, people. Let’s do this.
- Straight Up – No Chaser (http://straightupnochaser.blogspot.com) - I cannot make a list of my favorite blogs without Peggy, or Peg, or Margaret or whatever name she’s going by these days. She’s going to be so impressed I was able to find that particular post. Every time I read Peggy’s blog, she makes me snort laughing. There is pure hilarity within the proverbial walls of her blog. So, even though she’s out of town for a few days, jump over there and check out pretty much any of her posts. She will make you laugh. Peggy has also been one of my biggest supporters and always leaves me the most constructive and conversational comments. It’s ridiculous how much I like this woman.
- Polished Productions (http://www.polishedportrayal.blogspot.com/) – This is a new find for me. When I asked for guest bloggers, Kelsey responded and I have been hooked ever since. You are absolutely going to love her post that she’s written for me. It’s multiple levels of awesome. You should check out her site, if for not other reason than to check out her husband. I’m just sayin’.
- The Mommy Place (http://the-mommy-place.blogspot.com/) – Stephanie is so much fun. She is also slightly obsessed with stockpiling food. If there is ever a nuclear apocalypse, head to Stephanie’s house, she probably has enough cereal to last us about ten years. She basically gets paid to shop, she’s so good with coupons. A-ma-zing.
- Silly Mom Thoughts (http://blog.lindsaymaddox.com/) – It’s a pretty safe bet that if your name is Lindsay, I will like you. However, if your name is Lindsay and you have mad blogging skills, I will like you more. Lindsay Maddox is one of those people I like more. She is an absolutely hilarious girl and is going to New York City to attend BlogHer’10. Jealous? Yes. Angry? No. I knew who was going to win that contest and it was Lindsay Maddox from Day 1. She rocks my socks. ‘Nuf Said.
- Beth: A Work in Progress (http://www.bethszimmerman.com/) – The title of her blog really says it all. She believes we are all works in progress toward the masterpiece we were meant to be. Deep, huh? She writes on her blog about the trials and blessings that she is living with. I really do feel lucky to have found her blog. This is another blogger that has been a really great commenter and just a great person to talk to, in general.
The other part of the 31DBBB was to do some interlinking to my own blog posts. That’s not so hard since I’ve been doing that for quite awhile, but I will try to go through my older posts throughout the week and add some links to some newer posts to them. I also need to clean them up a bit since they still look really terrible from the Blogger to WordPress conversion. I’ve just been too lazy to fix them.

Thank you, Miss Lindsay! I am honored to be in such fine company this morning!

I do love Beth. She is great. The others I will have to check out, although they all sound a little mommy-ish. Oh well, as long as they are entertaining.

I would take these characteristics to use for my girls, except I’d need to mix up which daughter got what labels.
