Yesterday, I wrote about being upset with myself for gaining so much weight and I got some really great comments from some amazingly supportive people. For instance, I got a comment from Peggy/Peg/Margaret with some great advice about checking to see if maybe my thyroid is off. I got a comment from Vanita with some words of commiseration and support.
But, one comment stood out:
I will support you anyway possible, just let me know.
Just to let you know; when I look at you, I don’t see your size or any physical changes… I see the person that’s within that I fell in love with and still am in love with.
That is a quote from a man who calls himself Papa Bear. He is a man who I call my husband. He is the one who is always there for me no matter what and is always on my side. And Peggy saw it and hit the nail right on the head:
I have a papa bear in my life too – don’t let that one go Linds.
I don’t think I shall, Peg. I do believe I’ll keep him.
Papa Bear and I have actually been reading The Love Dare Day by Day: A Year of Devotions for Couples and it has been so good. Ever since he came back from the men’s retreat he has been so open to exploring our relationship together and with God and it’s really been an amazing experience so far. I can’t wait to continue on this journey with him.

Love that~ I noticed his comment right away yesterday, too. So sweet!

What a wonderful man. That is such a sweet and wonderful thing for him to say. I have to agree with Peg in saying, don’t ever let that one go! I actually have the Love Dare but I haven’t read it yet. I may have to do that with my husband as well. Have a great day!

What I said is that we have that book but have never opened it and I forgot about it until I read this post and I think it is time to open it.
I also said I think it is great your husband expressed that to you. It is important to hear.
