So I had a bad idea. Sue me.

So, a few months ago I said, “I’m going to branch out and make awesomeness.” Remember that? Well, it didn’t work out exactly as I’d hoped. As it turns out, I don’t have enough motivation/knowledge/time to keep two or three blogs running at the same time. I already have this blog and my {at least} weekly posting on Atlanta Today’s Mama to keep up with. And, while I do love sharing tips, tricks, tutorials and the such, I just don’t have the time to create an entire blog about it.

Tutorials take a lot of time for me to get posted. I can’t just slap them up there – They need screenshots and arrows and explicit instructions. That’s what a tutorial is. If I were to only put in minimal effort, it would not be something I’m proud of and, therefore, I would not want to put it on the internet. See the problem?

So, I’m going to discontinue Lindsay Socializes and not even get Lindsay Reviews off the ground. Honestly, I can do all of that right here on Lindsay Blogs and be pretty happy with it. I’ve already imported all of my posts from the social site and they are not spread throughout this site in their rightful places. Here are a few of my favorites:

So, check those out and I will keep adding to them, albeit slowly, in the future. If you have a topic that you would like to see covered, please contact me and let me know or leave it in the comments. Or, if you would like to write a tutorial that will help bloggers and have it as a guest post here, I would be thrilled to have it!

  1. Thanks for this great info! I’m definitely trying SWIFT – i’m planning the conversion from Grad Student’s wife at blogger to professorswife.com, and i’m moving to WP. I’ve looked at thesis and I just can’t stomach spending that much dough! Your layout looks fab, I’ll definitely be checking out SWIFT – like, today. And if i dig it, and use it, I’ll be giving you mucho credit, girl!

    Have a great weekend!

It’s definitely worth the look. His support forums are well-monitored and he’s never not answered one of my questions within 48 hours. If you don’t like it, I’ll even take the blame!

  2. I’m impressed you even attempted to do three blogs! I can barely keep up with my one. I loved the WordPress plugin post. Great info!

It’s true – The most epic fail is when you never even try. It was only a semi-epic fail!

  3. I think it’s great that you are willing to re-evaluate your blogging goals and vision to allow for appropriate balance in your life. And you’re right – you CAN share all that goodness right here – by the look and title of your blog those type of posts will fit right in just fine! :)

just popped over to say ‘hi’ after following your comment at ‘oh amanda’ – have a fabulous weekend!

It seemed like a good idea to spread it all out at first to keep one blog within a niche and all, but it’s just too much to handle! Thanks for stopping by!

  5. I dunno how you juggle so much, but I hear ya–sometimes it’s better to narrow down the focus a bit so we can put 100% into select projects. I think what you cover here is fantastic, and I’m excited about the “adding the like on FB” to your blog link. That’s where I’m heading now!

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend :)
