Ever since I hurt my feet and ankles a few months ago, I have had the hardest time finding comfortable shoes. I have one pair of ballet flats and one pair of tennis shoes that don’t leave me hurting in one way or another, and that’s just not enough for a girl who loves shoes as much as I do. It’s not like I had a bunch of cute flats or even white beach sandals that I could turn to in my time of need.
So, when I got the chance to review Havaianas (http://us.havaianas.com), which claim to have the “world’s best rubber flip flops,” I was excited to take a look at what they had. After looking through their site, I picked out the Origine Ballerina Espadrille. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but it’s not exactly Summer and my toes need some coverage!
The Pros
The sole is exactly the same as the original Havaianas flip flop rubber sole and has a flexible canvas top, making it a very comfortable shoe to wear. While it may not be the most work appropriate shoe, I still wore it to work and it was definitely comfortable for the entire day. Plus, the sole is super squishy so it felt like I was wearing flip flops to work. I really like these shoes and they’re great for weekend wear!
The Cons
The only negative remark I have about these shoes is that the heel part of the canvas would occasionally get bunched up under the very back of my sole. That’s probably not a big deal to most, but it was just enough to annoy me every once in a while. Also, because they are made of canvas, they don’t protect from rain or even dew on the ground. That’s a bit of a turnoff for me because I hate when my feet get wet like that.
The Bottom Line
Overall, I really liked the Havaianas Origine Ballerina Espadrille. They are comfortable, flexible and cute all at the same time! Great with jeans and a t-shirt. I could walk in these babies all day long!

Havaianas are actually very very comfortable, and I would recommend them to anyone. This is from personal experience of an incident where I stepped on a nail and it went through my foot. With all the bandaging, etc. Havaianas totally saved me.

These are the ONLY flip flop that I wear. I love them so much! They are super comfortable and last for years. I really want to get a few pairs for my kids this year.
