#Mamavation Monday: Losing Steam?

You know…I have to admit that I haven’t been feeling my blogging mojo lately. You’ve probably noticed my absence (or you haven’t – hence, my mojo loss). Even if I’m losing steam on my blog (which I will get back…just stick with me), I have notlost any steam on my weight loss journey. The Mamavation family has kept me motivated and feeling good about my progress.

Let’s just jump right in, shall we?

Mamavation Monday

Weekly Goals

  • Drinkat least64 ounces of water each day – Pretty close last week…just missed one day.
  • Get to the gymat least4 times this week – Only made it three times last week, but they were good workouts each time.
  • Finish week 4 of the Couch 2 5K running plan – Nope. Couldn’t do week 4, but I’ll keep trying.
I’m going to keep working on these three goals for the coming week. They are good goals and are exactly what I need to be doing.

Challenges

  • Time! Finding the time to go to the gym some days is hard, but I’m making it a priority and my hubby has been extremely supportive helping me find the time.
  • Soda – Still a challenge for me. I just can’t seem to kick the habit, but I’m doing better!

Triumphs

  • I can seethe changes in my midsection and it rocks my socks!
  • I have notover-indulged on junk food this past week. This is truly awesome for me!

Weekly Weigh-In

Starting Weight: 176.2 lbs

Current Weight: 158.2 lbs

WeeklyLoss: -1.4 lbs

Total Loss: 18lbs

Goal Weight: 154 lbs

I had a gain last week, but this week I’m happy to report a 1.4 pound loss! That means that I lost what I gained, plus a little extra! I’m now officially down 18 pounds, with only 3.2 pounds left to go!

This post is sponsored by New Balance Shoes and hosted by Mamavation– a community dedicated toobesity prevention&weight loss for womenand I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway.

Lindsay, that is so awesome! Congrats on the loss! I always love reading your posts! I think you are definitely right on point when you say you have to make it a priority to go the gym. Sometimes I feel selfish when I say that I am making my workouts a priority, but then I start to think no, I’m not being selfish, this is for me and my family. Yay for you on sticking to your goals. :)

I go through the “feeling selfish” thing a lot, too. The fact that my hubby supports me and tells me “Go! We’ll be fine!” makes it so much easier! It doesn’t hurt that the gym is right down the road from work and I can go on my lunch breaks, either!

Yes! Finding time to workout is hard when you’ve gotten a family that needs your attention. Thankfully, my trips to the gym are like a sanctuary for me and I love that peace and quiet I get for an hour or so each day!

  8. You know what? I think you’re doing great! Breaking the soda addiction was one of the hardest things to do for me. I was drinking a truly obscene amount of pop on a daily basis. You’ll get there!

You know what sucks the most? The fact that I can FEEL what it’s doing to me and that I don’t feel GOOD drinking it and yet I STILL DO IT! What is wrong with that picture!?

  9. Great job on the weight loss! My husband was a soda addict and it took awhile for him to give up. But if he can do it you can do it! Good luck!

Week 4 is super tough, but I slacked off after week 3 and took a week off, so I think I need to redo that to get back up to par.

  17. First of all you look fantastic :) Secondly, I need to set some goals. I never do. I hate disappointing myself, but then when I don’t set goals at all, I disappoint myself anyway because I don’t push to meet any sort of expectations… so I suppose I’m avoiding disappointment but getting disappointed anyway. Makes SO much sense, right?! ;) You wanna join me in my little 7 week personal challenge? I intend to lose 21 pounds by June 3 and we’re already almost the same weight. We could share clothes. LMBO :) Create our own little sisterhood of the traveling pants haha!
