My Final Cinch Post

When I started my weight loss journey in January, I had no idea where it would take me. I was sick of always feeling out of breath and looking like this:

Never Again

I didn’t even feel like myself anymore and I was tired of it. So, I started working my butt off and managed to lose 20 pounds on my own with good old diet and exercise.

Then I hit the plateau.

I couldn’t lose another pound, no matter what I did. I worked and worked and worked and nothing happened!

Then I found out I was going to be a member of Team #Cinchspiration and got to try the Cinch Inch Loss Plan (now called Shaklee 180) with 49 other ladies. Sommer Poquette led us with inspiration, motivation and love.

Forget about the weight!

Do you remember what I looked like when I started Cinch?

I had a lot of inches, my friends. I didn’t have too much weight left to lose, honestly. I was about 15 pounds from my goal weight but my weight was in the wrong places. I looked six months pregnant practically all the time and it was embarrassing because I was asked often when I was due.

My first month of Cinch saw some major change…

That first month, I lost 13 inches all over my body. I did it without starving and without feeling even the slightest bit deprived. Cinch kept me satisfied.

I was feeling better and looking better, but I wasn’t done yet. Over the course of the next few months, I ended up saying goodbye to a lot more inches.

Cinch Inch Loss

At the end of it all, I was down 23 inches and just about 10 pounds.

I went from a size 14 to a size 8 during those three months.

Down 3 Sizes

Then came the hard part…the part I had always failed at before. It was time to maintain my weight loss and keep those inches far away.

I didn’t work out.

I didn’t start carrying “safe” food around with me.

I didn’t starve.

I enjoyed my life and just lived.

Did I maintain?

As a matter of fact, I did. I have been wearing my size 8 jeans since that day that I finally gave in the walked into Sears and allowed myself to try on pants. I even threw out my old pants. I’m never going back to them.

I would tell you what I weigh now, but about a month ago, I made a promise to myself (and all of you). I promised that I was not going to focus on the scale any more. I haven’t stepped on a scale in about a month, but I can tell you that my pants still fit.

Well, almost.

I still have to wear a belt every day and still pull up my pants all day (because my stupid belt is too big and I’m on the last hole).

What Really Matters

In the end, none of that matters. What matters is that I feel like I’m well on my way back to feeling like me again.

To the ladies of Team #Cinchspiration -

I love each and every one of you. Many of you have encouraged me and inspired me more than you will ever know. Watching you all transform over these past six months has been amazing and I feel so blessed to be counted among you.

Thank you all!

Now, pull up your pants (because I know yours are falling off, too)!

After Cinch

This is me after Cinch!

Lindsay you are looking great! I fear the moment when I have to do this on my own, but reading your post is inspiring and re-assuring me that if you can and did then I can and do it too. I still haven’t bought any new clothes… I have to work on that :D
