The Joy of Thank You with Merci European Chocolates

Have I ever told you guys what an awesome group I work with? When people hear that I’m a Business Analyst the first thing that probably pops into their head is sleeping, but when you’re with a team that is awesome and makes the job fun, it can make a world of difference. The way our team works together is like no other – our cooperation and collaboration is something that most teams dream to achieve, but we just innately have it.

We’re a darn good team.

When the folks representing Merci European Chocolates approached me to review their chocolates and share the “Joy of Thank You” with someone this past holiday season, my co-workers immediately came to mind. Not only are they slightly addicted to chocolate (with one exception, but he only really likes hamburgers), but they deserved a huge THANK YOU for 2012. We worked harder than ever and got through some seriously tough projects together.

Saying “Thank You” with Merci

The chocolates came in all sorts of flavors, so there was something for each of us. We all indulged for a day and had our fill of the delicious delicacies!

Merci European Chocolates come in these seven flavors:

• Milk Chocolate
• Coffee and Cream
• Hazelnut and Almond
• Hazelnut Cream
• Dark Cream
• Dark Mousse
• Praline Cream

My personal favorite was the Hazelnut and Almond (which is surprising because I’m not usually a fan of the nut/chocolate combination – stone me for this later, k?). The Almonds were so small that it gave the chocolate an almost crunchy texture and the flavor was amazing! It stuck on my tongue long after the chocolate was gone. Coming in close second was the Dark Mousse (also surprising because I don’t particularly care for dark chocolate). The chocolate wasn’t too dark, but the mousse was out of this world!

All of my co-workers enjoyed the chocolates and each seemed to have their favorite flavors. We finished off the box between the four of us pretty quickly and were all totally satisfied with the selection.

I hope that this small gift (even if I ate it too) showed my team how much I appreciate them. They keep me grounded on those impossible days and keep me motivated when I feel beaten down. We laugh constantly, take care of each other and just plain get one another. We’re a solid crew and I’m a lucky lady to work with them every day.
