Bucket List 2.0

When I wrote my bucket for the first time in 2010, I had no idea what kind of goals I wanted to have. In the past two and half years, I have made several major changes to my life and I know have a much clearer picture of what I want to do before I die. For that reason, I am updating my bucket list to more clearly reflect me.

I am keeping some of my original bucket list…mostly the ones I already completed (hey, no need wasting progress!) but I’ve cut down about half of the list. Many of those things on my list weren’t things I necessarily wanted to do, but they were things I saw other lists that I thought sounded like good ideas.

I now have one major goal for the remainder of my life and that is to visit each of 26 countries where Compassion International has a presence. It’s a very lofty goal, but something I am passionate about and ready to take on! As a matter of fact, if I can only visit one country in each of the four areas they work in (Central America/Caribbean, South America, Africa, Asia), I would be ecstatic! I’m adding those countries to the bottom of my bucket list and I’ll go from there!

  2. I don’t have a bucket list. I’ve never felt compelled to write one. I have 5 year goals and 10 year goals but no bucket list. I have read the entire New Testament, not the old Testament, yet. I love that you have found a focus for your list.

I actually prefer the idea of 5 or 10 year goals. That way you’re giving yourself a time frame in which to reach your goals…it’s perfect!

I love all of your travel goals, those are big on my list too (we really enjoy traveling!). I’d like to see the Iguazu Falls that borders Brazil and Argentina (I’d like to see it from both sides). I’d also like to visit Angkor Wat. My other goals are pretty common…student loans paid off, salary benchmarks, etc.

I like that you’ve updated your list to be more relevant to your current life goals!

I love your exotic travel goals! If I could just travel the world with my family without worries of work, I totally would!
