Kroger Cart Buster Deal of the Day: $1 off ANY Juicy Juice

Attention Kroger Shoppers! Shop the Kroger Cart Buster event from February 26–March 10 for great values. Find out about all the savings at www.CartBuster.com! And from February 29-March 6, download exclusive, digital coupons for Kroger’s “Deal Of The Day” for even MORE savings at http://bit.ly/wxfnlU. Happy Savings!

Every Saturday morning, we go grocery shopping. We always go to Kroger because we can save 10¢/gallon on gas for every $100 we spend – which generally adds up to about 10¢/gallon every time we have to fill up. Not a bad deal, eh?

Another one of my favorite things about Kroger is that I can add digital coupons directly onto my Kroger card. That way, I don’t have to remember to bring the right coupon with me or even to let the cashier know I have a coupon. Once the item is scanned and recognized by the computer, it automatically applies the coupon I have loaded onto my card. That has saved me so much money because I have a terrible memory and always forget my coupons.

I’m so happy that from February 29th through March 6th, Kroger is offering amazing “Deal of the Day” digital coupons! Every day, there is a new amazing deal like today’s “$1 off ANY Juicy Juice” deal that you can add to your Kroger card. I need to stock up on soda and juice for our Wednesday night Bible groups, so this works out perfectly! I’ve got the coupon (along with Friday’s Deal of the Day which was “Buy 2, Get 1 Free Pepsi 2-Liters”) loaded onto my card, so when I go shopping next time, I can check those two things off my list!

Coupons are available as digital downloads ONLY at http://bit.ly/wxfnlU. These exclusive online-only deals are only available from 2/29–3/6.

Thank you to Kroger for sponsoring my participation in the “Deal Of The Day” promotion. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective. All opinions expressed here are my own.

ShopRunner saves you money (with a giveaway)!

ShopRunner

You know what I love? Not paying for shipping or delivery charges. Luckily, I’ve got a ShopRunner membership that I snagged last year. That little membership gets me unlimited free two-day shipping from tons of online retailers. What I didn’t realize when I got the membership, however, is that I can also get free delivery from Domino’s!

Free Delivery at Dominos with ShopRunner

I know it sounds like something so negligible, but something just gets me about paying to have pizza delivered to me and then having to pay a tip to the driver on top of that because they don’t get any of the delivery charges. I know it’s silly – just let me be! It doesn’t matter, of course, since I have ShopRunner and get free delivery now.

5 Tips to Cut Costs in Your Home

Save money at home

Money is tight for practically everyone in today’s economy. Bills and credit card debt don’t go away, even if you can’t pay them, so we’ve all go to look for ways to save and cut costs where we can. I’d like to share a few tips for cutting costs around the house that you may not have considered.

  1. Cancel your cable service. Yes, I know this is drastic and that True Blood is kind of important to see. But, you can save $100 or more simply by cutting out that monthly bill. Almost everything you want to see is on Hulu or Netflix now, anyway. We cancelled our cable a few years ago and didn’t miss it for the six months we went without it. But then True Blood came back on and I couldn’t manage to live without Alexander Skarsgard.
  2. Lower your cell phone plan. If you’re like me, you probably never use all of your minutes anyway, so taking it down a notch won’t kill you. If you’re already at the lowest minute plan, start looking at the add-ons. Do you need unlimited texts? Unlimited data? Unlimited everything? I bet if you really look, there is something you can shave off of that bill.
  3. Stop eating out! I know, it’s obvious, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. When I did a budget analysis on my own budget, I found that I was spending 40% of my money on eating out. WOW! Isn’t that insane? Hundreds of dollars every month going toward restaurants. If you want to avoid consumer credit debt, this is a great place to start. Make your lunches at home to take to work, it’s that simple!
  4. Stay home! You don’t have to stay home all the time, but just staying in costs a heck of a lot less than going to the movies every other weekend, right? When you factor in the babysitter, movie, dinner, tips, parking and everything else that comes with a night out, maybe dinner and a movie at home doesn’t sound so bad after all.
  5. Turn down the heat. Your house doesn’t not need to be at 72 degrees at all times. As a matter of fact, lowering your thermostat just a few degrees during the day when you’re not home can save you a pretty penny. Put on a sweater or something if you have to, but keep that thermostat set just a little lower during the winter and a little higher during the summer to save yourself some real cash.

These are simple tips that will help you save money by doing little things around the house. Cutting costs can help you avoid falling too far behind with your bills. But there are good options out there if you need a little extra help with bill consolidation.

I disclose.
