Scotch Dot Roller saved my Christmas (cards)!

First off, I have to say….I’m a fail reviewer this time. I tried and tried and tried to be awesome, but I’m not a crafter! I now know my limitations and I will not attempt another crafting product review…both for the sake of my own sanity and that of the company. And so, without further ado, my sad attempt to showcase the awesomeness that truly is the Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller 2 months after it was sent to me.

It all boiled down to this. After a long time of me trying to figure out what I could do to showcase the Dot Roller and general lack of funds to actually buy the crafting supplies that this was meant to be used with (aka Scrapbooking and other pretty things like that), I ended up realizing I could put this to good use for a non-crafter such as myself.

I was deathly afraid that my hands would fall off after addressing and personally writing in each and every Christmas card that I am forcing myself to send out. Well, lo and behold! Yesterday, I was sifting through my Google Reader and I came across this post from The Shopping Mama wherein she makes her own Christmas cards. I noticed that rather than hand-writing a note in each card, she simply had pasted a very nice generalized note inside the cards. Brilliant!

So, here I am….I typed up a sweet note to put inside mycards – the kind of note I would write out if my hands could handle it. I then used some of my friend’s crafting scissors to cut some pretty edges onto them.

This is where the Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller comes into play. Have you ever used a white out roller? Well, this thing works the same way, but it’s rolling on little dots of adhesive. So, I rolled out adhesive on all the edges of the notes and then simply pressed them inside my store-bought Christmas cards (don’t judge).

Voila! Beautiful cards with a sweet note inside ready for sending!

Merry Christmas!
