Hi, have we met? I am probably the least crafty person you will ever meet. My attempts at craft projects with my girls usually end up with three pieces that look like a 4 or 5 year old made them – two from my girls and one from me.

Even given the fact that I’m not good at crafting in any way, shape or form, I still manage to end up with a bunch of craft supplies randomly sitting around my house. I get this crazy idea in my head that this is the one that’s going to come out awesome and I buy pom poms, glue, glitter, foam boards and all sorts of ridiculous stuff. The good thing is that my girls are pretty easygoing with me when I screw up and they really love craft time with mom, but the only thing I’ve been able to perfect so far are noise-makers.

Yay for Noisemakers!

Despite my lack of skill, I still love going to the local craft stores and checking out their supplies and I also have been checking out Factory Direct Craft. I love this site because it has awesome tutorials on the blog that goes along with the products they offer, so I at least stand a chance. They’ve even got the cutest home decor items that I can use as-is at super cheap prices! They have everything from beads to doll-making supplies and even a special section especially devoted to kids crafts!

So, I’ll keep trying to get crafty with my girls. Thankfully, they love the time spent together and they could care less if I glue my fingers together – as long as I’m gluing my fingers together with them.
